Not actually that exciting but I have managed to remove, clean and re- fit my EGR. It was definitely sticking when I got it off. Don't believe the instructions for the diesel in the Haynes manual though....it refers to removing the vacuum pipes. I did then found I had wet feet as they weren't vacuum pipes but coolant ones....should have checked the instructions on this site first I suppose.

I found the whole job very satisfying. £15 for the code reader to identify the fault, £10 for a new EGR gasket (although the old one seemed perfectly OK when I took it off) and a bit of effort from me. Hopefully the light will stay off this time. If I can do it anyone can......

BB....if anchorman had come round I suspect the job would have been done properly....hence my latest post. I might go and stalk him........
