Was dissapointed as I didnt get to go on the 1/4 they stopped taking cars in by like 12pm which sucked. Nobody was bluddy warned if I knew I wouldve applied str8 away I only got there at 11ish.

Was ok day generally tho.. thank god it was sunny. Ran into Rico mr2 just as I left (alright m8 had to leave quick as my m8 in the black truck told me I was holdin up the queue oops!) A hell of a lot shellsuits and burberry.. typical of a max power event(Banzai event was mostly 'normal' folk  ) It was Buckfast central.

A lot of the import cars Id seen b4 at the Banzai crail..the vast majority were just euro rides with jap wannabe styling(as usual) with "sh'orted" ICE installs pumping "mad fer eet" tunes. Fastest car id seen was an 11 sec escort cosworth. Most 1/4 cars were again euro rides (slow) and scoobies(zzzz). Seen 3 mr2 Turbos... two rev2s and one rev3 tubby. No tubby performed as well as they looked. Had high hopes for a slick lookin white Rev3 but it managed 14s and got whomped on by a scoobys (zzzz).

The 600bhp mr2 stalled which was funny and over by the skidpan some guys bonnet blew open at speed...as soon as he got that sorted he bust his tire mid-drift and understeered off the track ...was great entertainment

The irish hachi roku team put on a good drifting show. The s13 dude was the best deffo at drifting.

Overall was ok day but left at 1:30 seen everything more or less in like 2hrs. Dissapointed at the fact we couldnt race (wouldve layed the smack down bah) also was lookin forward to racin in m8s F150 Lightning. Woulda been laffs :(

Best fun on the day was the rodeo ride!! Beat my m8s at it...I hung on for a whole 9 seconds and believe me in "rodeo time"...it feels like 9 minuted. I got flung off it really hard tho me leg is still a bit sore ... :(

Alright pizzaboy, pity you couldnt hang about for a bit,

we stayed to nearly the end!

Oh and the white rev 3 is my mate kal's mota

I saw three firsts today...

1. Rocket quad complete with after burner (Fu***ng nuts!)

2. Brand new yellow ferrari 360 modena doing burnouts and doughnuts

3. A flying MR2!

The rocket quad was wild, It was so fast that the guy riding it could steer it full lock

left to right and it continued going straight ahead!

The after burner was kicking out flames about ten feet long :D

The guy driving the ferrari didnt even own it!

On the way home we had quite a fast drive on some twisty roads we didnt

know to well, i was following Kal in his rev 3.

So we are bombing up this road and i can see the road take a slight rise and then

kals brakes come on, next thing i know he's just flew off a humpback bridge!!

I also got a little airborne but had more of a chance to slow down so didnt get quite as high!

We stopped to check his car and he jumps out and starts singing

"come fly with me"!!

I guess he was ok, but his girl was a bit pale. :D

Had a good day but i got a bit sunburned! I'll add a few pics tommorrow ;)

i did that hte other day. roads were clear as nething so i bombed it down. i forgot that they'd just finished up some roadworx and so the groud was well uneven, needles to say i flew. my m8 with me said the next day that if he wasnt ****** he would literally have papped himself, haha

Sounded like a cool day but I try to steer clear of the 'max power' thing.. I feel MR2 owners rate way above this!

Leave it for the 1.1 fester/nova owners with seat belt pads and washer LED's!

Just my opinion.

Russ Swift's J Turns in the Mini Cooper were quite impressive too!

I ended up staying until about half 6 but it was mainly all the same old stuff.

Ferrari 360 Modena was rather nice. :D

For those not in the know, a Max Power day (or Fastcar etc) at Crail consists of the same old same old but with a staff writer and photographer from said magazine. That's it really, no shows or Max Power giveaways just means it will be put in the magazine.

They are days where you want to see other cars of all descriptions and not compete as the 1/4 is too busy. If you want to practise on the 1/4 then go on a non-mag day.

I know of a guy who destroyed his suspension on his corsa going over Gattonside bumps. FUN FUN FUN!

My MR2 loves that road!

I went down a back road that was seriously ridged .. it was like a roller coaster .. so bad at the bottom of one of the dips I couldn't pull my head up to see the road ahead .. I was doing 90 staring at my feet ..
