Gt86 Rust Proofing

What corrosion protection does the GT86 have ? Is the steel used galvanized and has the car got adequate protection from the UK's salted roads ? I only ask as I also own a Mazda MX5 and it appears that Mazda have minimal corrosion protection with chassis rails crumbling on very young well looked after cars. Would I compromise my Toyota warranty if I had my GT86 rust-proofed with Waxoyl or Dinitrol products ?

Think Mazda have a poor reputation for rusting with the MX5 - and it isn't shared with it's other models. We've had a 2003 323, 2003 Premacy and 2007 2, and had no issues with corrosion. We had the 2 for 4.5 years.

Still prefer belt and braces. Would additional professional rust-proof treatment invalidate ant Toyota warranty ?

Your car has a 12 year anti perforation warranty, yes doing anything to the bodywork that alters it from Toyota's standard will cause issues with potential warranty claims
