Bad Start With Warm Engine

hello to all, i'm an happy 2003 avensis 1cd-ftv (2.0d with approx 120miles) owner (i'm a first hand one)

in the last days i noticed an unusual problem starting the engine: warmer the engine and worst is the engine start

for example yesterday, after a LOOOONG road trip of about 4 hours with about 35°C air temp (95°F), after a fuel refill i needed to keep the key turned about 1min for start it (and in that time i heard a very bad and arrhythmic noise)

what could be?

any tips?

99% sure it's the starter motor; Fairly common fault. Fix is to replace the starter motor with one that corrects the flaw.
