Mike Avensis 1.8 T3X Est

Recently had my company car withdrawn and had to buy quickly after 15 years of not needing to! Found an '04 1.8 Avensis TX-3 Est. as being a good bet for a reliable family car on a budget. Despite being a bit tatty it has low mileage and good provenance and It's polished up very nicely. :D

It's a little underpowered, but otherwise I'm very happy with it and it takes bikes, child, dog, Wife and I wherever we want to go very comfortably.

The only problems have been a dodgy Battery (easily sorted) and a recall to fix the steering column, following which I've had some steering vibration at anything above 60 mph. This hadn't been noticeable before the recall work so I took it back to my local Toyota dealer who discvered a buckled wheel. Why this wasn't causing vibration before I've no idea, but it's proving very difficult to resolve economically now.

Anyone who has an Alpeso 16" wheel (or two) collecting dust in their garage, please let me know!
