Aygo Trim Levels Re-Aligned

Noticed from the Toyota price list today that the Aygo trim levels have been changed.

Aygo, Aygo+, Fire and Ice have been replaced with (in ascending order):

Active, Active Plus, Active Plus with a/c, Mode, Mode with a/c, Move, and Move with Style.

Neither the Toyota website nor the downloadable brochure reflect the changes as yet.

2013 model year Aygo will have a new model naming strategy, similar to other Toyota model line ups. Production starts now for customer deliveries in August. There are some very nice touches available for the new lineup, watch this space ;)

What Toyota really need to do with the Aygo is put another 10kg or so of soundproofing to help it compete with the (much more refined) VW triplets until the new car arrives. My biggest gripe with our Aygo was the road noise on anything but the smoothest tarmac, worse than any other car I have ever owned, including a Mk1 Metro! I will most likely buy another Aygo in a few years as my sons first car as I do rate them highly, but the first job will be to strip the whole interior and get busy with the dynamat!
