Dashboard Totally Dead! :o

Got in the car this morning and the dashboard was totally dead! Have absolutely no idea what it could be and am not technical at all! No speedo, no rev counter, no heat gauge and no warning lights (except the Battery when I turned the key. Car starts fine, so not a dead Battery. Any ideas among the more knowledgeable drivers here? It's a Estima Emina 97 Import.

Okay, have discovered the meters fuse is blown. Replaced it and it blew again. What can it be?

bad earth connection causing circuit overload? Or a bad connection or maybe a wire bare and touching chassis??
