hi im new to all this so please be patient with me, we bought a rav4 2.2t180 diesel 8 months ago had no problems with it at all, but Friday I went out in it parked up for half an hour then when restarting for my trip home the rav started to like miss fire like a juddering, still running ? . I parked it up and tried it the morning after and it was fine?, been out todat (Monday) did a couple of short stops and park up, then the last mile or so home the same problem started again, the engine sounds like its not running properly, can anyone shed some light on this for me? paul.

welcome to the forum. I know little about the oil-burning engines but if you do a search for topics I am sure it will fling up a few that will help. Good luck.

Has the fuel filter been changed recently? Might be worth taking a look at it.

Yep.....fuel filter is first stop, then park overnight on a level area....check oil and water levels and report back....and welcome to the Club.

welcome

check with resistance of both SCV -- if it is in limits then chek with fuel filter drainage - if no water then change fuel filter

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum.

You list the 2003 NRG as your car, so have you added a T180 diesel to the fleet? If so, what year is it, are you covered by a dealer guarantee, and what is the mileage. This will give our learned boffins a little more to work on. They will help you get it sorted I am sure. :driving:
