my turbo has gone on my car i have been quoted £450 cash price for my turbo to be re built but using steel so it can handle more boost is this a good price also there is a turbo on eBay off a m reg apparently only done 30k on the engine selling due to uprating to hks does anybody think this is worth a bid or shouldn't i bother and will it go straight on my rev 2 k reg engine

I wouldnt bother theres no gaurantee on the condition of the turbo off E-bay. At least with a £475 unit you will have no problems...you will have a brand new spanking unit which is an imporovement over the original ceramic design. Go for the £475...never shortcut with performance cars like these...youll pay for it later if you do.

agreed, always make sure youre gettin as close to brand new as possible when replacing your turbo, just make sure youre getting it rebuilt somewhere reputable...

do you guys think that £230 -£350 is a fair price for taking the old unit off and then fitting new one
