Much of the article has already been published. Modular platform, evolutionary design, possible redesign of dashboard along Lexus lines, second generation Touch & Go (with CD player becoming separate, optional unit either in glovebox or side of centre console), etc.

Not too keen on the bin bag look.... whats up with that ? :P

But seriously ... I was tempted to upgrade to a prius in a few years if i get on with the Auris (which i do!.. but then still in honey moon period) ... bit unsure on the styling, was expecting something more curvy or with more angles., still has that rear end that looks like its been hit with a frying pan. Is that because they put the Battery there? Surprised as in the Auris they stuck the same motor under the back seats creating a .. little bit more elegant back. I dont know maybe Prius owners like that flat back?

From what I've seen, having a long roof and short rear is supposed to be aerodynamically efficient. Think Toyota wants to retain the shape as it has become a recognisable feature of the Prius.

No speculation on its alleged move upmarket and increased price to differentiate it from the Auris

Think the Hybrid version of the Corolla/Auris is only sold in Europe currently.

Not sure I like the idea of specially designed tyres, I've already had experience of the questionable advantage of a specially designed Battery.

specially-designed tires that have an extremely low-rolling resistance

Tyres for the 17 inch wheels are expensive enough. :(

Excuse my ignorance, surely you sacrifice grip, for a low rolling resistance tyre?

It used to be, but modern everyday LRRs can be as grippy as normal tyres.

High performance tyres on the other hand are more affected.
