Auris 1.6 Spirit: M-Mt Button

I am a new member and a new owner of the above car, when I purchased the car there was no owners manual and there is a button on the central consul marked M-MT could someone help by informing me what it and what it does

Hello Malcolm - welcome to TOC.

M-MT stands for Multi Mode Transmission - presume your Auris has the automated manual gearbox. Not really au fait with the different controls of the M-MT as opposed to the manual, but I'm sure others will be able to clarify what this button does.
