Yaris 53 Reg Key Fob Button

Hi

I have a Yaris 53 reg

Today a key fob button dropped off... the unlock one ( lost as no where to be found)

I have contacted Toyota only to be told it's a new key etc

Has anyone else had this problem Is it a single button or part of a pad ( two button key fob)

Any reasonable solutions. I thought Toyota would sell new buttons or pads ( if that's what is required )

Thank you

Unless you have a particularly epic auto-locksmith, eBay is probably your only recourse :(

Just noticed the other button is split...bad news

I have seen pads on e-bay.... but this looks like a single buttons

Then I have seen front and back pads All very confusing!!!!!!

I have taken the back off and it is just single buttons

Any ideas

II decided to get take it to a car key repairer for an estimate...going tomorrow ...failing that it is a new transponder and recoding ( no repairs as such for new buttons just a new unit)...at the dealers. It is still working so it might be repairable ..

Good luck! Hopefully they can sort it out...

If you're getting a new remote from the dealer be prepared to fork over £170-£225!!!

The guy who I bought a transponder remote off for my current Yaris (It only came with one key) also sells parts and does repairs if that's any help:
