do you have Zone Alarm, Zone Alarm can disable popup, disable Adverts on website, and stop all animations GIF/Flash, you have set the protection to high, you will need to manually enable animation on the settings

double click on Zone alarm icon on task bar

click Privacy

swich odd Ad Blocking or click custom

been there, done that, that why I know, thinking of scrapping zonealarm, it locks up after 5 days, or it could of bin Norton AV messing with the firewall
