Scuffed Dash

Hi all

Not that bad, but an old phone holder I previously had rested on my dash just above my right hand round vent.

It's left grey scuff marks in the dark finish of the dash.

Is there anything I clean these up with or repair it with please.

Will be grey as it has rubbed off the top colour, so no cleaning agent would fix that. I would think a spray paint of the right coloured black paint would do the trick - local bodyshop or smart repairer should have about 10 or so different shades of black and a colour swatch to check which one to use, and should be cheap to do.

Alternatively, maybe something like a permenant marker (sharpie?) could be used to make it less obvious?

I've found that a rub with a xylene blender marker [as used by graphic artists] followed by filling in with a suitably coloured permanent marker hides light scuffs effectively Jamie.

Might sound daft but I've "repaired" scars like that with shoe polish in the past. Just a little bit at a time and rub/polish it in. Re-apply until it matches the original surrounding finish.

I've got a few very light scratches on my leather steering wheel (maybe from a ring?) and wondered best way to fix them. Shoe polish! Obvious really :) Cheers, Jim :)
