Tyres For An Aygo

I've just bought a 2010 aygo. The tyres on it are a mixture any suggestions for good tyres, for economical motoring?

we have continentals on ours,dont be penny pinching ang get the absolute cheapest, winter is approaching you need good tyres in winter you get what you pay for

Thank you I've been looking at the tyre dealers and they are all with £55-60 but I was just wondering which ones to have as with the lack of insulation the road noise could be a factor. Which Continental have you got?

we have the contact 3 on ours

all tyre manufacturers have to use a coloured bar system to show grip in the wet,fuel economy and road noise

Last year I reshod the Yaris with Michelin Energy Saver +, based in large part on the new(ish) tyre labelling system. They seemed to have the best combination of noise, wet grip, and economy, but they aren't cheap.

West Bromwich so I have great choice of dealers who competitive with their prices. Ill try playing them off a bit. Ill have a look at the conti / Michelin thanks.

When the time came to change all four Contis on ours which was at a disgraceful mileage of just 12,000 following a front to back swap at 8,000 I fitted 4 Toyos. An excellent tyre which is highly regarded yet cheaper than premium brands due to lower advertising overheads. After 8,000 miles when we traded the car the fronts were still at 6mm.

on the tyre sidewall you will find something that says treadwear and a number,the higher the number the longer the life of the tyre so if you are comparing 2 tyres then this maybe what makes you buy one brand over another
