Rav4 Spare Wheel Mounted Bike Rack

I would like to fit a spare-wheel-mountedbike rack (similair to http://www.practicalcaravan.com/product/dec03.html ) I know Halfords do a cheap one for under £40.

I have removed the back & front case from the spare wheel, but the wheel itself fits to close to the car to allow such a device to fit.

Does any one have any advice where I can get a spare-wheel-mountedbike rack for my 2004 Rav4 5 Door ?

Can I fit spaces to the wheel to make it stand out proud of the car ?

Any advice to avoid fitting a tow bar or roof mounted bike rack would be great

Hi Fippard,

On the Rav4 accessories list, theres this Rear bicycle holder & required off road extension bar

Could try Toyota and see how much that is and how the part looks

Thanks Kenny, I will check it out, but I think that it requires a tow bar !

I am trying to avoid having a tow bar fitted
