Hi i had a wonderful lorry driver decide he needed 2 lanes to turn left at a massive rounderbout in maidstone (the rounderbout spans the river medway)

upshot of it is i am now sans my mirror. i have taped it back into place so that it doesnt damage the body work banging around but can hear the motor whiring a way and it is aggrevating. I did go into a gagage to get them to pull the fuse but was told its on the same one as a whole host of other things like the radio and spedo etc. I did suggest cutting the cable but the mechanic seemed to think that would blow the fuse and i would be back to square one.

My question is this.... if i took the door card off am i able to simply unplug the !Removed! thing or will this cause a load of errors

many thanks

I'm sure if you cut the wires one by one, then insulated the ends (really well) it would be fine... best option of course is to repair it ... have you tried local breakers? (years ago I had a lot of success at bobbing breakers... from my days of driving French cars... )

all the local breakers round here dont stock the more moden car. i have been on findapart and managed to source one at 97 quid which is a lot better than the 230 for a new one from my local motorfactors. however its going to be at least a week b4 i can afford to do anything.

Since the mirror will be changed, it can be unplugged.

I don't own your model, but looked in the ToyoDIY.com site. From the diagrams the door card need to be removed and the mirror unplugged from there.
