i had it done proper but my Speakers ruined part of them! doh!

K&N panel filter will only set you back about 35quid then spend £25 on being a gold member. that makes £60 then spend the other £20 on ale.

basically there you have a win, win, win situation.

1 - a mod for the car

2 - utermost respected member status, which leads to many more discounted mods

3 - do i need to explain this one!

Lol! :D

Fancy telling me what a K&N filter will do to my car exactly?

And if it will put insurance up

K&N will give better throttle response and an increased induction sucking/growl.

wouldnt have thought it would affect the insurance to be honest

and itll take approx 3mins and 12secs to fit!

Ok! hmmmm

just i thought performance mods upped the insurance, i suppose you could always take it out when it comes to MOTS and SERVICES etc etc!! My mate has one, so he'l probably fit it for me if i get one!

Are they universal??

I didnt realise with panel filters you get the induction style roar? How is it compared to one of the proper k&n cone filters?

Also are the panel filters engine specific? Where could I get one for my 1.0 facelift from?

Cheerz

 Would an Induction kit not be better than the panel filter ?

Save a little bit more and get the Apexi induction kit, check this link :

http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15245

However I am still trying to figure out the effect on warranty, if I went for an induction kit as apposed to the panel filter.

Asked the toyota garage and their standard answer seems to be, no if the effect of replacement does not damage or effect anything else around it.

With an answer like that, it means YES warranty effected, replace the panel box back on, on every service.

Back to your topic though, if I went for a Panel Filter, some one else on another topic has suggesed the TTE one. Wonder if that is the same as the TRD one. Any one know ?
