Hi everyone,

I purchased my first Aygo last Thursday, it is the Aygo Move with style in the new napoli blue, it also has the blue trim on the inside. I am really pleased with except................. now this is probably going to be a surprise but I don't like the rev counter!!!! as the car is automatic I don't really see the point of it. :g:

Anyway I am planning to try to remove it!!!! Found lots of pics on the web but the fitting on mine is different, so not sure now, is there anyone here who has done this?

Yes, that's it, isn't it horrid!!!! :disgust:

we have the aygo black with the mmt and i fitted one to kaths as i thought its handy to have when you are driving it in manual mode especially since this is kaths first car that has the manual tip for the gear changes so she wont over rev her engine she can also see that she can stay in a gear for longer before changing down

The rev counter is removable but it's removal will leave a large hole in the upper cowling which will expose all the wiring and fuse box hidden underneath.

Removal is the reverse of this: http://www.toyota-tech.eu/aimuploads/0830ef25-2202-43e8-b820-4127ec03a0c3/791L_Tachometer.pdf

Yes I realise that, I'm still working on that part :g: I obviously can't remove it until I can cover the hole effectivaly/nicely!!

Maybe someone else has an Aygo/C1/107 who wants a rev counter - You could flog it to them and get the cover back in return as part of the selling price!

Otherwise, eBay or breakers yards? Messrs T, C or P may sell them too but probably at some extortionate price if it was anything like the centre caps for my wheels!

Thank you for suggestions. As my car is new I kind of feel that the replacement cowl from a breakers yard might look a bit shoddy? :o I actually think that finding something suitable to cover the hole would possibly look better in the long run. I have started another thread titled "Unwanted Rev.counter" and I have put a picture on there of my actual counter. :)
