Hks Wagon Suspension...

Fitted that HKS kit off eBay this arvo... the most difficult thing was the instruction sheet. All japanese except for odd measurements.

First time fitting, we decided it said 36mm of preload... we couldn't get the jack out.

Second time, we decided it must be the 50mm measurement... couldn't get a hand in between the tyre and the liners...

Third time, we tried the 76mm... and I've driven home in a go-kart! Nearly span it twice (it's wet) 'cos she's soooo soooooo grippy, right 'til the point the tyres say "no more!"

Got 4 new tyres on order, lower profile for more room in the arches. My liner is <I thought I could get past the swearing filter - what a sad muppet I am eh?>ed on both front wings, and my mission for the weekend is to find somebody to roll my arches!

SLAMMED! :D :yes::thumbsup:

Might be ambitious, but I'm trying to sort this by the end of the day... I'm on one.... NEEEEEEED to get it done. Got a set of 4 ContiSports (195/45/15) for £156 (trade :) ) But the liners and need to move and the arches need mo' room...

Hmmm no.... Had a quote for a full-on custom widebody kit tho'! But I don't have £1200, and it's a permanent mod to a £6000 car...

The next big expendiure is £1300 on that Greddy Turbo from hopupracing.com :afro:

Anyway, just spent 3 hours (!) adjusting the front shocks up another 20mm, which combined with the 195/45 tyres SHOULD give a little more room...

Ok, have adjusted it several times and settled on 93mm of spring preload on the front and 53 the back, with the following results...

Could be lower, but my arches won't take much more!!! :eek:
