2002 Toyota Avensis Airbag Light On

My 2002 Toyota Avensis GS VVT-I has started displaying the red airbag warning light. Other threads suggesting checking some wiring under the seat, but where? Under the bottom of the chair? The floor? Down one side? All suggestions welcome.

Hi Ian,

The front seats have the cable from the carpets under the seats. Slide the seats either way depending if you are in front or behind.

You will see the cable or feel around under the seat. Once you find the cable follow it to the connecter.

Just in case, disconnect the Battery.
