Increase In Idle Speed Using Aircon

Yesterday I was using my aircon on a journey, after about 30 minutes I noticed my idle speed had suddenly gone up, this has not happened before, it normally idles around 700 rpm it had gone up to around 1200, very noticible when slowing down through the gears, any idea what has happened. Thanks.

Its quite normal for the idle speed to increase when you have the air con/lights/radio/heated screen. T urn everything off and after the warm up phase it will settle back down to 7-800rpm
