hi

I have just brought a yaris colour collection 02 plate 998 engine

it has onley done 42 thou miles .can I use unleded plus petrol in it.

I fill up at Tesco and thay sell it there.

Yes you can, but why would you want to? (I'm assuming your talking about super unleaded!)

I think that only applies to cars with knock sensors that can change their ignition timing :(

You can certainly try it to see if it makes any difference; Won't harm the engine to try! :)

That said, even if it does give a bit better mpg, that will probably get offset by the extra cost :unsure:

I find using Shell's "basic" unleaded gives better MPG than the basic supermarket stuff. It's only a couple of pence more (in my area at least). As Cyker says, the premium unleaded fuels are probably a waste of money for small cars as you won't see enough of a benefit to outweigh the extra cost.
