Annoying Squeak !

I have a 2011 Prius T spirit I am really pleased with it apart from an annoying squeak that appears to be coming from the centre consul, if I put a bit of sideways pressure on the consul it appears to be OK. Does anyone know if this consul can be tightened and if so where are the fixings located, I don't want to start takeing carpets up or anything before I know where to look. If anybody knows about this consul fixing or has had the same problem I would be grateful to hear about it.

Many Thanks

Your Prius is the same year and model as mine. I have never had the squeak you describe. I suggest, as your car is under warranty take it to your Toyota dealer he may know about the squeak on other prius cars and have a quick fix. It will not cost you anything.

Thanks Chris, I'll try that, as you say they may have seen (or heard) this before.

Some things to look for regarding center console squeaks.

Where the center console meets the center storage box.

Center storage box lid - sliders and locking mechanism.

Tray inside the center storage box.
