Avensis Verso D4D 2.0L Engine Management Light Above 80Mph

Hi guys need ur help and advice !!!

i have just bought an avensis verso 01 d4d and noticed that on motorway driving as i go over 80mph the engine management light comes on and car goes into limp mode as looses power.

If i turn ignition off whilst the clutch is dipped for 10 seconds and then turn ignition on whilst in 5th gear and jump start the light goes off. Sometimes does it many times sometimes just a few times.

Car does not smoke is serviced and i also cleaned out the egr valve and its not sticking or anything when manually tested.

Hi mileage though as done 197000 miles

I have done motorway driving at 70mph and does'nt come on at all !

any ideas ???

Also noticed that when taking off the car revs to 3500 to 4000 revs in 1st gear and in second 3rd struggles to even get above 3500 revs is this normal and could the problem be related?
