Starting Problems

I am new to the forum as I am needing help with a fault that Arnold Clark Toyota couldn't find and neither could a friend who is a mechanic. I have a Y reg Avensis and it has started to cut out when it gets too hot. It also refuses to start if it has been running for a while. I have had it into Arnold Clark in Stirling and the only fault that registered on the computer was the oxygen & lambd sensors which I have replaced. I have also noticed that in the cold mornings the heater starts to blow cold air after about 15 minutes. Any help to get this fixed would be really appreciated.

Strange fault this maybe the thermostat is stuck or water pump impeller has come off inside the pump, check for flow without air locks and also that the radiator is not blocked by feeling how hot it is at the top and bottom.

cutting out when hot is a classic sign of a faulty crank sensor, could your mechanic friend do a live scan when the car is driven and try to replicate the fault to confirm?
