Just swopped out my front side and main bulbs for a set of the blue Visions - they came in a box set of 4 bulbs for £20 which I thought was pretty good value. All are E marked and legal.

The difference is rather noticeable!

Yeah bit of a pain, did the offside first. Took me a little while to understand where and how to push the retaining clip but once sussed the nearside took a couple of mins!

You need child like hands combined with the strength of a the Hulk for those !Removed! headlight bulbs! I put a set of Osrams recently, they give very good light.

Head on it may look nicer than earlier but with the dark winter months approaching it is the light out put at the road that is important. Was there a difference in the amount of light shining on the road between the two bulbs? Blue coated bulbs usually do not give out much light and do not last very long. Unfortunately, bulb change is not easy in our cars. I chose Philips ecovision (long life) for that reason for my wife's car. It should last for 50000km and the light out put is good for a H4 bulb.

I agree, I've been through enough bulbs and HID kits to know that coated bulbs will only ever reduce light output for the same given bulb but these blue visions definitely have a better output than the ones I had in there, probably due to the originals being a low quality bulb and/or having a poor gas.

But yes, the blue visions might actually have less lumen output than a good non-coated bulb but these will do for me and the colour temp is pretty good. Not as good as the colour temp on PIAA Plasma's but then I paid £90 a pair for the PIAA..
