Oil Question

Hai,

read most of the threads, but didnt find the answers I needed, or didn't read as I should have done.

I have a Avensis Verso 2004, 2.0 VVTI benzin. According to some sites the type is my engine code: 1AZ-FE

I drive between the 25000 and 30000 km a year (between 15500 and 18600 a year)

There are a lot of opinions about full synthetic, semi synthetic, oil from ALDI etc etc.

But this is my family car.

And I just want whats good for my car and I do not want to save money now and at a later time, regret that I have chosen the cheap stuff in stead what is good for my car.

* What kind of oil do I need?

* How much oil do I need to replace my oil?

* Oil fllter: You have many types, even K&N have these kind of oil filters. But also, reagrding this, I just want what is good. Do they have a code for my car? (found out that there are some differences between avensis verso's...like bulbs for example...see photo....) according to the details of the left bulb, this should have fit mine avensis verso...NOT.

* I hope that you can help me out with this one. Again, quality before quantity for me,

Regards and thanks!

Dennis

oil filter, I always use genuine OE oil filters. only aftermarket one I would use is by ADL blueprint.

This question has been asked a million times and it is still the same answer ;)

http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/148386-engine-oil/

You need 5w 30 semi synthetic which is API SL ACEA A1/B1 you could also go for the better MPG option and use the premium fuel efficient version which is 5w 30 semi, API CF, ACEA A5/B5 C2

Hai, sorry for asking again, but my "bouncing desease" as we call it in Dutch, also known as ADHD, makes it difficult to make choices, when there are a lot of opinions.....(40 years old and not be able to make a choice in oil.....)

The other part, my knowledge of cars make these kind of choices difficult.

This is what I got to see, when I clicked on the link and added my car: avensis verso

What to do? My car is not mentioned in the cars above: Toyota Avensis Verso 2.0 VVTi (2004) and a manual.

But I guess that AUTO means automatic and are these cars using the same oil??

Hai Kingo, also thanks for your answer!

I am sorry for asking again.

But the reason I asked this question again, was due to the fact that my
english is not that good, that I could understand the answers.

Like the answer above : You need 5w 30 semi synthetic which is API SL ACEA A1/B1 you could also
go for the better MPG option and use the premium fuel efficient version
which is 5w 30 semi, API CF, ACEA A5/B5 C2

*The 5W30 5w 30 semi synthetic which is API SL ACEA A1/B1 (really do not understand what all the letter at the end means.....)

*or go for the better MPG option and use the premium fuel efficient version which is 5w 30 semi, API CF, ACEA A5/B5 C2

When i read both answers, I will have to go the last sentence, because my car isnt mentioned in the link:

*or go for the better MPG option and use the premium fuel efficient version which is 5w 30 semi, API CF, ACEA A5/B5 C2

Can anybody tell me how much oil I will need? Cant find any details through google....

Thanks in advance for helping me!

reagrds

Dennis
