2002 Avensis D4D, Lost Keys.

Hi all.

Just a new member here & found your site while searching Google for some help with my problem.

I have a 2002 D4D 2.0 Verso and managed to lose the keys at the weekend. :(

I have managed to souce the parts locally but I'm unsure of what all needs to be changed. As far as I can find out so far I need to change the ignition barrel, key with blip and the ECU. However someone has told me there is another module situated in the center/hand brake consoe area, while someone else said that's for the newer (2003 onwards) models.

Can anyone confirm eitherway?

Edit: If anyone has any tips on changing the parts I need they would be much appreciated. I have had a look at the ECU behid the glove box and already can't figure out how to remove it,

Um, have you taken advice from a dealer about possibly getting a replacement key?

or take a key replacement insurance add on.

Yeah I got a quote from Toyota was close to £400. Went and got the key, barrel & ECU and hope to get it sorted tomorrow.

If not I'll check my insurance policy
