Nothing Works

My car has been stood for 2 months with a duff Battery i have just fitted a new one now nothing will work.All i am getting is all 4 indicators staying on and not flashing and when i try to start the car it is as tho the starter motor is jammed. also my key fob will not work it does not lock or unlock the car

Hi Alec,

So long as the new Battery is fully charged, get an auto electrician to check the load on the Battery. If you have a meter, you can see what voltage is in the Battery with the key switch off and on. Listen for any clicks to see if any relays are activated.

There could be a short somewhere draining the current.

I could say make sure the battery connections are clean and tight, but you would have covered that.

Get a boost from another car.

Why was the car left unused. Was there a fault before?
