I have done a diagnostics check on my turbo and the speedo is broke on my car and the code which came up was 42 which is speedo sensor i was just wondering is this expensive to buy and is it hard to fit

If your speedo isnt working then I think the code will recur. I had code 42 on my G-LTD, turned out the car had been driven by the importer with the speedo disconnected. The ECU gets a signal from the speedo so no speedo = code 42. If your car is a Rev1 with the mechanical speedo then its possible that one of the speedo cables has broken (there is a long one from speedo to engine bay and a short one from there to the gearbox). I have heard that the drive gear also sometimes fails, if thats your problem then you may need to give Toyota your chassis number as I understand there are quite a few different ones.
