It's A Sad Goodbye...

Hiya guys...

Well as the title says! It's time for me to say goodbye to my T-180! I've decided that I can no longer worry anymore about these 2AD engines with potential HG problems and oil(Not that it was) usage that could cause carbon build up, resulting in maybe a 3rd engine.

I've made a lot of very good friends on the forum that I will be keeping intouch with! I hope I've helped some folks out with issues surrounding these engines! And I've gained a lot of good advise in return from some fantastic people.

I will be popping in every now and again! But not to the extent in the past as I've now bought a petrol engined car.

Now that I haven't got the oil burner I have a lot of spare parts that I don't have any use for. The list is below...

1. A genuine new Toyota DMF and clutch kit and seals. These have been stored in the house and still in there boxes. I bought this from a very wel respected mod off the forum.

2. Three T-180 alloys and tyres for an Avensis

3. Two new genuine Toyota water pumps (Boxed)

4. Loads of genuine Toyota fuel and oil filters.

5. An EGR valve that's covered about 8k

6. Silkolene Pro SRG 75w ester gearbox oil

7. 20L of Mobil 1 ESP C2 spec oil

There are probably lots more that I've forgotten and not listed.

I thought I'd give the forum members a chance! Before I place them on eBay.

I've placed this post here as I've spent most of my time on the Rav forum because of the members.

I'd just like to thank you all for a great section to the club

Cheers

Tim

Good luck. Pity that the RAV T180 had that engine problem. My Auris T180 never faltered.

Cheers guys for all your kind words! Including my very good mate Charlie! Lol... I'd better get back on the tatami and do some practic...

Just a quick update on the parts! Looks like the EGR valve and pipe is now sold to a forum member. Another member is interested in the alloys. And the Tunit box is sold.

I'll keep you guessing to the pocket rocket I've bought! Loving it tbh... Service done yesterday with Motul 8100 X-MAX 5w-30 oil with a genuine Toyota filter.

Next is to change both (There's a clue) the coolant systems with Toyota Red stuff. Got a great deal from the dealer for a 5L can for a tennor! I love my Toyota dealer :)

Just a quick note to Chalie... The Grand Voyager seems to be running okay after the Mrs put £20 of V-Power petrol in a Diesel car!!! But we are now almost £400 lighter to the RAC!!! Thanks for all your advise on the phone and for letting me rattle on! :)

Sad Tim... Just like Kev :(
