As the new diesels will eventually be available in 1.6 and 2.0 litre versions, presumably they will largely replace the 1.4 and 2.0 Toyota D4D units for the European market.

the new 2.0 in different states of tune also ought to be able to replace the 150 & 177BHP versions of the Toyota 2.2 D4D. Iirc BMW already have a 2.0 diesel with something like 190BHP.
