Whats A Gromet?

As the title says, whats a gromet! Apparently its behind the Battery?!?! What the hell is it, what does it do? Whats it got to do with an amp??

It's like a fat rubber washer with a groove around the edge of it. It lives in holes through metal/plastic parts and effectively provides a rubber tunnel for wires or pipes. This stops the wire/pipe rubbing on the panel it goes through and causing subsequent damage.

OR it's a plasticine dog. :thumbsup:

So basically its a way to get a wire from the engine bay to the inside of the car

the yaris gromit has 2 nipples, some people cut em off to feed wires through

Hmmm! Ok, or i could just use the one on the other side, thats where i have fed the other wires through, just puncture a hole through it! lol!!

watch how you do it, you could remove the gromit with loads of force, but its hard to get back in(on the yaris)
