Hi recently brought a 2010 NAV and able to play music from a USB Flash drive, odd thing is it doesn't show all the folders on the usb disk only about half are there.

Anyone know why?

Lov the car and plays what is there really well.

Thanks

Sometimes it will only read them at the root level, try without the folders.

Thanks for the quick reply! :-)

I will give it a go but its reading 29 of the folders (some of these being folders in folders). I like to keep them in folders so the albums are split.

I thought maybe it was to do with a max size it will read as have the problem when USB stick has 2.5GB +

If when you create your mp3's you list it showing the artist, track number and album name it will keep the correct order.

It's all about the ID tag, I use Audiograbber , it's free and brilliant.

I just stick my 16 Gb worth of music on the stick and it runs perfectly

Yeah its showing all that for all folders, might try another USB stick.

Use Audio grabber years ago great piece of software though if you have a load of CDs to use Window sMedia Player rips much quicker and you can set it to rip as soon as you put a cd in, can do about 8 in 30 mins :-)

I find that some brands of USB sticks come with software preloaded. I remove these files.

Raistlin has it spot on with the folder and file structure.

Some systems can only read 6 folders and you can have a lot of songs per folder.

I had a music file that corrupted my Sony (Toyota fitted) head unit. The Sony display would flash 'loop' mode. A button press cleared that issue.
