I recently left my lights on overnight and completely flattend my Battery. I recharged it of the mains and when i started it up it began to rev up to 2k and hold there. I thought it might just need an extra charge so drove it around but it continues to do it. When its in gear its fine but when i clutch in or stop it revs straight back up. Anyone got any ideas as to what this could be??

Could be several issues, Vacuum hose been knocked, that fact is cold and taking longer to get up to working temp.

Hi Jim,

Is your problem similar to mine maybe as follows?

On a cold start up, the car holds 2000rpm and takes roughly 20mins to fully heat up and then the revs drop down? And when I go clutch in to change gears, the revs go up slightly then come back down?

No car should take 20 mins to warm up.

Well first of all. WHY does your 190 take so long to come up to temp? Could be no thermostat fitted, cooling fans constantly on. Gen7's are known to have leaking rads, causing Airlocks in the heater matrix making you think the engine is not hot. Does the gauge go up?

I'm not too sure. The gauge works perfectly fine. Although, my fan does come on when the engine isn't on but when my key is and turned halfway for electricity. It comes on for about 3mins then stops for about mins then back on.
