depends on the quality, i have kenwood 10cm on dash, kenwood 6*9 on rear , oem at door

thinking of changing to vibe sr69 for rear with blackbox 1 amp

but have no clue wat to do with door ..... as it is pretty thin so not all 6.5" Speakers will fit in there ...

wat do the ice peeps think ?

jaxx - i dont know what you mean hehe!Talking from experience not vibe biased at all!

yarissr - Some may not fit but just depends how handy you are with mdf to make some spacers to bring them out a bit!For sound quality caliber components are very good and also shallow mounting depth, also look at the infinity stuff altough the tweeters can be a bit sharp at times!

as for the rear the vibes can kick rather well,a mate has them and with the bb1 amp they will work well!

i recommend alpine sxs1757s they are really clear, not alot of bass on em but then thats what a subs for and they dont have to mess about trying to cope with it

also i know somewhere where they are on sale at the mo for £70 as apposed to about £120!

well if your after SQ then i would suggest components for a start,as for the alpines they are good stuff but the lack of bass might be a problem without a sub,I have found the infinities quite bassy and obviously you guessed it the vibes!lol its what are in my boot!

a coax has another little speaker in the cntre to cope with high frequancys

comps use a separate mid tweeter and crossover

Components have tweeters 2 i think???

Cheers

no components mean instead of the tweeter being in the middle ofthe speaker its a separate piece which can be mounted elswhere!they nomally come with a crossover to split the highs lows etc to the right one!

be careful with the depth it took me a couple of attempts to get it spot on as the window normal hits the magnets
