Hello all, I`m a newbie here and like most newbies on forums I have problem I hope you can help me with, its how to remove the starter motor from a 06 2.2 Avensis D4D there doesn't look anywhere to extract it from top or bottom without some major dismantling of other components, can someone tell me the best way to remove it please, and at first glance its not obvious where the bolts holding it are, looks like one from the starter side and one from the engine casing through to the starter motor, thanks in advance, Art.

Thanks for your reply, the engine in the video looks like the 2.0 , I think looking at the job again my best approach would be to remove the header tank and elec. cooling fan from the radiator that might give me enough space to get the starter motor out,

I`ll have to wait till weather improves because I`m doing the work on the drive, I`ll update when I make progress, cheers
