Hello all. Just thought I would share my experience with the dreaded EML light and the MOT issue. Took my 1.6 91 avensis for pre MOT with light on (all pointed to the lambda sensor). Garage checked it out and said the sensor was fine but the cat was gone so I had new one fitted and the car passed all ok BUT eml light still on!! Garage put the light on as an advisory on the MOT and did not bother to clear it, no great problem as the car drives fine. I was under the impression any warning light was a failure but I am not complaining as the car only cost me £230 for the cat replacement and the MOT. Anybody got any thoughts, ATB, Mick16
