Airbag Light Flashing?

Hi Guys. My airbag light on dash has started to flash at me. I have had no impacts whatsoever. If I switch the passenger air bag off it makes no difference. Its an 07 car. Any info or feedback would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear that. I haven't had that problem yet but the bad news is you will need to get it sorted for it to pass the MOT.

Hopefully others will be able to advise you as to the possible causes.

You might like to try disconnecting the car Battery and leaving say ten minutes before reconnecting. With any luck (the ECU perhaps) will reset itself and the light will go off.

Worth a try - sometimes works I believe.

Hmm, tried disconnecting the Battery and left it a while...no joy!

My airbag light was flashing a couple of years ago. My Toyota Dealer offered to repair it by replacing a processor at a cost of in excess of £200 (I think it was £240) but I was advise that the problem could be due to a loose connection (not by the Toyota Dealer - of course). However, I didn't book that repair and, a few months later, when the car was booked for some unrelated work, the mechanic resolved the issue free of charge. I think the loose connection was under the driver seat...
