Hi THERE. My name is ROPPA and i'm from 'GEORDIE LAND' I've got two toyotas. 1st one is a 2005 RAV4 D4D and my 2nd one is my 1998 ESTIMA 2.2 TD. The ESTIMA is running sweet as a nut :D but the RAV has been an utter nightmare costing an arm and a leg to have the DMF replaced with a conventional flywheel and clutch set up about 8 months ago. Now the !Removed! thing wont start. Fuel filter changed at service 2 weeks ago. Cannot pressurise fuel system with primer button?. :ffs: .

Greetings Ron and welcome aboard.

Have you looked in on the RAV section yet?

There is a lot of well scripted info on there from knowledgable members.

I wonder if ,when it was serviced the "O"/ sealing rings were not changed and have only just cauesed air to enter the fuel system.

Thanks for the greetings guys.

Hi Crofter, ive searched in the RAV section and there is a lot in there to browse through.

Car is with my mechanic now who serviced it. He said when he took the old filter out it was (as he described it) all gelled up. Now i'm wondering if the screen filter on the fuel pump inside the fuel tank might be gelled up also.
