Where Do I Find Parts For 87 Celica Convertabletop

I have a 87 Celica convertable and one of the arms in the convertable Top just snapped. I called up Toyota and they don't have these parts. I have been trying to find these parts to fix my roof and I can't find anyone to sell them to me. Can anyone help or sugest someone who will sell these parts? I can't seem to find a good source for parts for my 87 Celica anywhere on the net, new or used. My favorite mechanic can't find these parts either.

thank god, another gen4 convertible owner, i thought i'd moved to the ****** moon.

this might be a long shot, how happy are you ordering stuff from the states, try celica.net.

i chat on there often cos no-one likes gen 4 on the TOYOTA owners club.

ive got lots of help off these guys, loads of gen 4 owners, a whole forum of gen 4.

i found a site with info of new hoods for gen 4 celicas. they might Know what you can do. i'll dig out the print for you cos i cant remember where i found it.

if the last resort, can you get one made? go to a metal worker perhaps.

have you recently bought the car. do you know much about the engine etc.??

lets try and get some gen 4 chat going on this forum!.

cheers

Thank you Carl.

I did find the parts from following up on leads provided by car-parts.com. I don't know what to share besides that. I have found Toyotawonersclub.com to be loaded with forum threads about my car and engine information. You are not alone in being a lover of a generation 4 celica. You can email me if you like at insomniawork@yahoo.com.

the hoods aren't available any more as you found out and from what I found out the guys who did the original conversion for toyota have also gone out of business so they are a real pita to find....
