Hi all,

I'm up in Edinburgh (but will travel), I need a new dual mass fly wheel, the local garage here won't do it as it's such a big job, can anyone recommend someone / anywhere who is able or happy to change this for me!

Many thanks.

Have a read on this forum about DMF issues on the Rav using the search function - you may decide to replace the DMF with a solid flywheel - it's a cheaper option than a new DMF and many owners have gone down this route. You'd be well advised to replace the 3-part clutch at the same time - this will limit the risk of having to replace the clutch in the short / medium term. It's not the easiest of jobs but it's no big deal and should be fairly routine to a decent garage. Suggest you contact a couple of other garages in your area for a quotation - other owners in your area may be able to make a recommendation.

Yea I was told by this garage they would change the clutch with that! I'm trying to get hold of a few places now but will have to wait until the morning! Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
