Celica Squealing Serpentine Belt On Start Up.

Hello all!

I've got a 2002 Celica 140. Recently due to the cold and (very) wet weather we've been having in the UK, when I start the car up in the morning the serpentine belt squeals a bit, but then is fine once the engine has been running for a few minutes.

Is this something I should be worried about? Or is it just due to the cold and damp in the engine from over night?

Also should note the cars done 60,000 miles, and have no idea if it's ever been changed before.

It will eventually get worse over time, so will need changing at some point. Depending on your mechanical skills it's relatively easy to change with another set of hands and a belt can be bought off eBay for less than £20.

Thanks. I was thinking it would be something like that it would need to be done anyway.

Fairly competant with mechanical skills, do you know where I could find instructions on how to do it myself?
