The Lights Are On But No One Is Home!

Hi everyone,

I'm in a spot of bother with my 1992 celica.....The headlights won't turn off, even once the pop ups are down and the ignition is off.

The pop up mechanism still works like normal. When the end part of the indicator stick is twisted upwards from the off position all the normal functions work including the side lights. But headlights won't turn off.

For a temporary fix i've resulted in pulling out two fuses, in which i discovered very neat plastic tweasers for the job! Even after 6 years of owning it i'm still pleasantly surprised.

I've heard it could be a relay in the fuse box and someone also suggested a problem with the indicator stick itself.... maybe a switch inside?

I'm not very mechanically minded so to be honest i have no idea whats going on, could anyone please give me some direction?

Many Thanks xx post-137557-0-47212700-1390586886_thumb.
