Newbie With A Problem

Hi everybody ... like the title says ...

This is my first Celica (wanted one for ages) and the grin hasn't quite faded yet. BUT I'm a little worried. The rad cap failed on me and gradually blew most the water out the system over a couple days. New cap and a top-up runs fine. Trouble is theres a water leak (minor) from the engine by the exhaust and the water feels slightly oily. Blown seal ? Performance is fine, no mayo in oil cap or rad cap, temp rock solid just below half on guage so dont *think* its a head gasket. Any ideas or a coolant sytem diagram ???

1989 2.0 GT Auto, 3GT-SE engine. No mods :(

The "WATER" will feel sticky for want of a better word the ANTI-FREEZE in it will make it feel unlike water. Buy yourself a bottle of anti-freeze and feel that to see if its what you describe as oily. You shouldn't really be topping up with tap water, its got chlorine in it which is bad for the engine.
