Fairly recently I was parked in a pub car park & the owner serving me started chatting, he thought it was an MR2!!?

That is closer to the truth for us Sera owners than you realise.

Lotus Engineers borrowed my Sera and I subsequently sold them a crashed Sera Shell. The Lotus M250 concept car (slotted between Elise and Esprit) of two or 3 years ago used Sera design doors.

McLaren also admit copying the Sera doors for the Macca F1.
