Prius Snail Power

now I know that the Prius is not a fast car, in the normally accepted sense of the word, but when opening the bonnet to check the oil, the vision that caught my eye, almost sent me backwards

obviously, I had been driving the car so slowly, that a whole family of snails, had had time to make their way slowly and painfully via the contact tyre patch, up the 17" alloys, through the bodywork, to commit hari kari around the oil filler cap....

AND the carried all their possessions with them, which was basically large clods of garden earth

if I would have dreamily opened the filler cap, the car would been a write off, with dried earth and snail shells in the sump....

one wonders just how many Prius's have suffered this fate?????

Apparently the US owners find that mice like to make a home in the cabin filter box.
