Ideal Engine For Iq?

Ok, forget it is not made by Toyota, but if this engine really does deliver then I'm sure other manufaturers will do something similar in the future. How about a 1.5 ltr engine giving 400 bhp :o

I can remember when they thought 100hp per litre was a good achievement. But 400 out of 1.5 ltr is mind blowing, seems good torque for the engine size as well.

I think our engine compartments can fit two of these. :goof:

All the pictures showing how small it is seem to omit the turbo the size of a 737 turbine! :)

Does it say anywhere what revs the 400bhp is produced at?

Craig.

I presume such a small engine producing that much power must surely scream like a Banshee !!

It must rev very highly.

EDIT: Just read it has a rev limit set at 7,500. Lower than I expected.

Wow, I was expecting 12000 - 15000 rpm for that power. Shows what a turbo can do for you if the engine is strong enough to take the loads.

My 5.7l Chevy only revs to around 7000 and produces 400 odd horses and 400 ft'lbs of torque but that's 4 times the capacity! Not bad power from a 1500cc motor that. :)
