Is It True Cvt Auto Hand Brake Doesn't Auto Release ?

Yes it is true, on a manual the system senses the driver letting the clutch out and pressing the throttle causing drag on the back brakes, which then release.

On an auto there is no clutch pedal to let out obviously, meaning just pressing the throttle could cause the brake to release and the car to shoot off unintentionally, Something that cant happen by mistake on a manual therefore Toyota programmed the system not to auto release on the autobox.

It must be something that is unique to the Toyota CVT as other manufacturers seem to fit auto release to their autos.
